It's me, drawn by me!

In my free time, I mostly like to draw things!

As someone who's been interested in the creative field from a very young age, art is a big part of my life and something I'm extremely passionate about. Check out some of my projects and works below!

Fishing for Meaning
GAME CONCEPT . 2023

Done in one of my design courses, we were tasked to come up with a game concept as a team. My team came up with a game revolved around fishing on an island threatened by climate change and rising sea levels, where the player could make either generous or selfish decisions and reach different endings.

I was in charge of all game art and assets as well as the first draft for the game design document.

Nighttime Bread Delivery Service
GAME JAM . 2021

As apart of UW's first Tri-Campus game jam, using the theme of 'growth and decay' I created a game with bread as the focus- Since bread can rise (grow) and also decay (mold).

Playing on those ideas I created my first game in the form of a very simple platformer with a score system, featuring a raccoon who delivers bread on a hot summer night.

Time for Lunch
PICTURE BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS . 2019

In my junior year, one of my peers Jonathan Lee approached me with an idea. Since we were both Asian, we as well as many other POC who grew up in America could relate to the experience of having our lunches called weird or gross by other classmates in elementary school. Inspired by these experiences, he came up with the concept of having a picture book featuring children's lunches from all sorts of countries, and asked me to illustrate them.

Unfortunately the project was never formally finished, but I enjoyed illustrating the food!

I draw standalone illustrations often, and my style is inspired by lots of media from Asian pop culture. Below are a select few of my favorite pieces from recent years.
